Delegates learn correct radio procedures, terminology, and emergency communication protocols, with a focus on safe and effective coordination with aircraft. The course includes both theoretical instruction and practical exercises, and successful completion – after examination by a CCA examiner – leads to certification required for offshore radio operators, Helideck Landing Officers (HLOs), and related roles within UK offshore waters.

RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC)

This course plus exam provides practical training in the use of marine VHF radios, including Digital Selective Calling (DSC).
