Clyde Marine Training will feature at London International Shipping Week by hosting a virtual event on Monday 13th September.
Aimed at ship owners and operators, but open to all; the event ‘Tonnage Tax: Optimising Future Sector Skills’ will give an overview of the benefits of UK tonnage tax in relation to training a merchant navy cadet workforce.
Thomas Campbell, General Manager, Clyde Marine Training, will co-host the event.
He said: “As one of the UK’s largest Cadet Management companies, we play a key role in creating the merchant navy officers of tomorrow and providing support to our ship owner clients.
“We are excited at the prospect of being able to give an insight into UK Tonnage Tax from the perspective of modern-day Cadet provision, and the potential cost benefits to ship owners.
“At Clyde Marine Training we mould professionals who are equipped to execute the maritime roles of the future, both onboard and ashore, and on 13th September we look forward to further exploring these themes.”
Clyde Marine Training’s parent company Northern Marine Group is also supporting London International Shipping Week as Silver Sponsor of the event.
