Clyde Marine Training was delighted to host the 2nd Women in Maritime workshop at our Glasgow Headquarters on Thursday 21st November.

Hosted by award-winning public speaker and trainer Shola Kaye the workshops focused on what it takes to be an all-rounder at public speaking.

The event was sponsored by International Law Firm CMS, and enjoyed a sizeable turnout with delegates representing several shipping companies around Scotland.

The workshops were part of Maritime UK’s Women in Maritime campaign, which aims to promote employment cultures that actively support and celebrate gender diversity at all levels of an organisation.

It looks to identify practical steps to increase the number of women in maritime, and crucially within senior roles across its shipping, ports, marine and business service industries.

Katy Womersley, General Manager, CMT, said: “Both events were fantastic and we enjoyed hosting delegates from so many shipping organisations. I personally found the workshop very informative, and feedback from those I spoke to echoed this.

“I’d like to thank Maritime UK and CMS for their support in organising and sponsoring these events, and to Shola for being such an amazing presenter.”
