Clyde Marine Training introduces new website and MATRICS platform
Clyde Marine Training (CMT) has introduced a new website and refreshed visual identity as part of its continuing work to improve the experience it provides for cadets, sponsoring shipping companies, colleges and maritime industry clients.
The launch also introduces MATRICS, a platform designed to improve access to training information and provide clearer visibility for the people and organisations involved in managing maritime training.
The development builds on four decades of experience supporting Merchant Navy officer cadets and maritime professionals and is intended to make CMT’s services easier to understand and access while providing a clearer view of the full range of support available across the business.
Thomas Campbell, General Manager of Clyde Marine Training, said: “Clyde Marine Training has evolved significantly over the past 40 years, but our focus remains the same, supporting people to build successful maritime careers and helping organisations develop competent, and capable workforces.
“The new website and MATRICS platform reflect that commitment. As well as improving access to information, MATRICS will support increased interaction between cadets and training officers, helping them stay connected throughout training and ensuring cadets continue to receive the guidance and support they need as they develop into future officers.”
For prospective cadets and career changers, the new website provides clearer routes through the information needed when considering a Merchant Navy officer cadetship. Visitors can explore the Deck Officer, Engineering Officer and Electro-Technical Officer career routes, understand the different stages of training and find the next step in the application journey.
It also gives sponsoring companies and colleges a more accessible view of the role CMT plays in connecting cadets, maritime employers and specialist nautical colleges throughout college and sea phases.
MATRICS supports this connected approach by making it easier for cadets and training officers to remain in regular contact, discuss progress and identify where additional guidance may be beneficial. By bringing relevant training information together in one place, the platform supports more informed conversations throughout a cadet’s development while also providing sponsoring companies and colleges with improved visibility across training activity.
Alongside Cadet Management and Training Management Services, the website also provides greater visibility of CMT’s Maritime Technical Training offer, including specialist training for experienced maritime professionals focused on competence, compliance and operational readiness across a range of maritime disciplines.
While the launch includes a refreshed visual identity, the primary focus remains on how people engage with Clyde Marine Training and can easily gain access to the services available throughout the organisation. The new website and MATRICS platform represent another step in the ongoing development of support for cadets, sponsoring companies, colleges and the wider maritime industry.
