Everyone in Clyde Marine Training is eagerly awaiting our training conference, which takes place on Thursday 19th March at Mar Hall, just 10 minutes from Glasgow Airport on the banks of the river Clyde overlooking the stunning Old Kilpatrick Hills.
The conference is our opportunity to bring together the CMT team with clients, and representatives from various nautical colleges, industry bodies such as MNTB and UK Chamber of Shipping, for a day of reflection and information sharing.
The event will be hosted by award-winning public speaker and communication consultant Shola Kaye, who has recently worked with Clyde Marine Training in hosting the Women in Maritime workshops, held in Glasgow in late 2019.
The day will consist of engaging and inspiring presentations from different bodies on topics affecting the industry, but also from partner charities of CMT, such as Primary Engineering, and figures from outside the industry. Workshops will take place around the topical subjects of ‘Well-being at Sea’ and ‘Cyber security in the Maritime sector’.
The ever-popular cadet forum will return, giving current cadets the chance to expand on their experiences of college and sea phases, but also pose questions to our guests and vice versa.
It will be joined this year, however, by a college Q&A forum, allowing delegates to pose questions directly to senior college representatives from across the UK.
The main daytime conference will be followed by a relaxed evening meal and entertainment. We look forward to welcoming our guests to the event, and we hope they will find it informative and a great networking opportunity.
