Following the success of National Careers Week, Careers at Sea are continuing their interaction with schools and colleges all over the UK, as part of their efforts to be promote what a Merchant Navy Career looks like for aspiring students.

As part of this process, Clyde Marine Training Engineering Officer Cadet George Cowl, was selected to be part of an interview series to showcase why he chose the Maritime Industry as a career path, and what his job currently entails as a Merchant Navy Cadet, which you can watch below.

George was put forward for this by his Training Officer Blair Lindsay:

“Throughout his time at college, George has received exceptional reports from all of his lecturers. His attitude towards his training has been excellent and he has a very mature approach to his learning, which is seen through his appraisals at sea matching those he received from college, showing a high level of consistency to both aspects of the course.

“During the meetings we have regularly with the cadets, George is never one to shy away from asking questions, so I thought it would be rather fitting to put him forward. I knew George would represent everyone very well as he has done so far throughout his training.”
