Terms & Conditions

Payment Terms: Company accounts should be settled within 30 days of invoice normally issued on finalisation of course. Should a Company booking courses not have an account then payment for any courses will be due in full before the course begins. Private individuals must pay all fees in cash prior to the course.

Interest Charges: Clyde Marine Training reserves the right to charge interest and compensation fees on all monies outstanding after the expiry of the relevant periods of payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Privacy Policy: We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Supply of Service: Services supplied by Clyde Marine Training to the Client shall be supplied subject to these conditions. Any changes or additions to these services or conditions must be agreed in writing between an authorised person of Clyde Marine Training and the Client.

Clyde Marine Training will supply courses on demand to a minimum number of 10. In the result that minimum numbers are not met, Clyde Marine Training reserves the right to invoice for minimum numbers. In the case of external courses a £100 offsite charge and additional expenses will be added to Company account.

If notification of change of booking is not given within 24 hours of course commencing Clyde Marine Training reserves the right to invoice for original bookings made.

If an insufficient number of bookings are received for any course, Clyde Marine Training reserves the right to cancel that course and either offer an alternative date or refund any pre-paid fees in full.

NOTE – Some of our courses will be provided by our partner companies, and in those instances separate terms and conditions will be issued.

Limitation of Liability: Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by Clyde Marine Training’s negligence, or as expressly provided in these conditions, Clyde Marine Training shall not be liable to the Client for any losses, damages, costs or other liabilities of the Client whether direct or indirect or consequential including but not limited to any loss of profit or other economic losses which arise out of or in connection with the Services and the Client shall indemnify and keep indemnified Clyde Marine Training against claims made by third parties in respect of such loss or damage.

Cancellation Charges: In the event that the client cancels (by written notice to Clyde Marine Training) a confirmed booking, or fails to attend a booked course, the following cancellation charges will apply:

If such notice is received less than 4 weeks before commencement of the course, the Client shall pay to Clyde Marine 50% of course fees.
If such notice is received less than 2 weeks before the commencement of the course, or in the event the Client fails to attend a course without prior notice, The Client shall pay to Clyde Marine Training the full course fee.

In the event that the Client re-books the cancelled course for an alternative date at the time of cancellation, and provided that more than 1 weeks notice has been given, Clyde Marine Training may in its absolute discretion waive any cancellation fee.

Special Requirements: Should candidates require further assistance or support they should advise the course instructor accordingly. The additional support needs of candidates will be taken into account when planning exercises and assessment.

During some courses lunch is provided for you, please advise if you have any dietary requirements as soon as possible.
