This week saw the first of our new classes starting, with Glasgow College of Nautical Studies' HNC Engineers beginning on Monday. The last few weeks have been really busy, getting everything sorted for the new term, but we have made it in the end - thanks to everyone for their help. There are more classes beginning over the next few weeks in locations all over the country and we are looking forward to getting everyone started on their Merchant Navy career paths!

Thanks to everyone who has been keeping themselves up to date on our Facebook site-we are currently up to 327 fans and the number is growing every day. Fans have been helping other fans out with questions before we can even answer - thanks folks!

You've probably noticed from other parts of the website that this weekend we're going to be at Kirkintilloch Canal Festival in Glasgow. This promises to be a great event, with loads of activities for all the family. You'll find music, classic cars, boat trips, bands, a funfair and even a duck race on offer from 12noon onwards. Look out for us on the event guide and for our staff down at the Southbank Marina - we'll be there with information on Merchant Navy careers as well as advice and information from Clyde Safety.
