Merchant Navy Training Board

The Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) is the shipping industry's central body for promoting and developing seafarer education, training and skills. At the forefront of educational developments and UK wide careers promotion, the MNTB provides education and training frameworks that will develop high quality British seafarers who are respected worldwide for their professionalism and skills.

UK Chamber of Shipping

The UK Chamber of Shipping is the trade association and voice for the UK shipping industry, with around 140 members from across the maritime sector. We work with Government, Parliament, international organisations and others to champion and protect the UK shipping industry on behalf of our members.

Maritime Skills Alliance

The Maritime Skills Alliance (MSA) was established in January 2004 and its founder members represent the Fish Catching (Seafish), Ports (Ports Skills and Safety) and Shipping (Merchant Navy Training Board) sectors.

IMarEST

Established in London in 1889, is the leading international membership body and learned society for marine professionals, with over 15,000 members worldwide.

International Association of Maritime Institutions (IAMI)

The International Association of Maritime Institutions is primarily an association of colleges and other organisations involved in providing education and training for personnel involved in the Merchant Navy, Towing and Fishing Industries.

Marine Society

We provide quality assured services to seafarers and shore-based maritime professionals everywhere. Through partnerships with quality education and training providers we offer an extensive range of seafarer-focused opportunities.

International Labour Organisation

The ILO aims to ensure that it serves the needs of working women and men by bringing together governments, employers and workers to set labour standards, develop policies and devise programmes.

Global Maritime Education & Training Association (Global Met)

To promote, develop and support in the spirit of cooperation the common interests of its members in all matters concerning the development and quality of Maritime Education & Training.
