The RNLI SOS Day was held last month on Friday 27th January and Clyde Marine Training, along with the rest of The Clyde Group, took part by hosting in-house activities to raise money for the RNLI. The day’s events included:

Swap Our Stuff – giving staff the chance to clear out unwanted Christmas gifts and pick up a bargain or two!
Select our Station – staff could pay a quid to pick a station from the RNLI map and enter into our raffle to win a cash prize.
Slice Of Sponge –yummy baking treats were on offer!
Swap Our Suits – staff donated to dress down to work.

Tickets to the Scotland v England rugby match were also auctioned off to raise money for the cause. The RNLI are the charity who save lives at sea and therefore is a charity which is very close to the hearts of those in the maritime industry. Clyde Marine Training is keen to support this charity and successfully managed to raise over £310 for them with their involvement.
